WWE Pulls Back on SNME Title Match Advertising


 The upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event has already stirred plenty of buzz, but WWE’s handling of Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca has left fans scratching their heads.

On Raw, Lynch rejected Ruca’s challenge to put the Intercontinental Women’s Championship on the line, making it a non‑title bout. The very next day, WWE promoted the match on social media as a championship contest — only to reverse course again by Wednesday. According to Fightful, the company is no longer advertising the clash as a title match, officially confirming it as non‑title.

This isn’t the first time WWE has flip‑flopped on SNME title bouts. Back in December, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee were set to defend the tag titles, but after multiple changes in promotion, the belts ultimately stayed off the line.

For Sol Ruca, the stakes remain high even without gold on the line. Since her call‑up after WrestleMania 42, she’s struggled to gain momentum, dropping matches to Liv Morgan and IYO SKY. Facing Becky Lynch at SNME could be the biggest test of her career — and a chance to prove she belongs on the main roster.
