Booker T Reveals His NXT Commentary Role Was Only Temporary

 

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has opened up about his time behind the desk on NXT commentary, revealing that the gig was never meant to be permanent.

Speaking candidly, Booker explained that his stint was originally supposed to last just three months:

“I love it, man, being a part of NXT. That job literally was supposed to be for three months, I was just filling in. ‘Book, we need you to fill in for three months.’”

Despite the short‑term plan, Booker’s energy and charisma quickly made him a fan favorite on commentary. His chemistry with the NXT roster and ability to add personality to matches gave the show a unique flavor that resonated with viewers.

While his role may have started as a temporary fill‑in, Booker’s presence has left a lasting impression on NXT fans, proving once again why he’s one of the most versatile voices in wrestling.
