AEW President Tony Khan has addressed recent reports suggesting that WWE higher‑ups believe AEW may struggle to secure a new television deal with Warner Bros. Discovery or Paramount once the current agreement ends in 2027.
Speaking candidly, Khan admitted he had seen the speculation but stressed that it was just that — speculation.
“I saw something today, and it’s just a report. I don’t know if this is true. It could be true, but a lot of reports have substance to them,” Khan said.
AEW’s partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery has been central to its growth, with Dynamite and Collision airing weekly on the network. While WWE insiders may question AEW’s long‑term prospects, Khan emphasized that the company continues to thrive and expand its reach.
The comments come at a time when media rights negotiations are a hot topic across wrestling, with both WWE and AEW looking to secure lucrative deals that will shape the industry’s future.
