Blake Monroe has his sights set on one of the biggest upcoming wrestling events — the John Cena Classic. Speaking with Fightful, Monroe made it clear that he’s eager to be part of the tournament, emphasizing that a marquee event like this needs a headline name, and who better than “the glamorous Blake Monroe.”
Monroe reflected on his recent battles, noting that he had just escaped a tough run-in with the NXT women’s division. Despite the challenges, he’s hungry for more competition. Among the names he’d like to face, Monroe singled out Tatum, citing unfinished business after their coffin match. He also mentioned Kendall Grey and several of the new European talents entering the scene, highlighting the depth of talent that makes the Classic so intriguing.
“Of course I want to be part of it. It looks like it’s going to be a huge tournament, and obviously you need to headline it with a big name like the glamorous Blake Monroe,” he said. “We have so much talent. I’d love to face Tatum again because we have unfinished business. There’s also Kendall Grey and lots of new European additions. I’d love to be a part of it. And if I’m not there, I’ll enjoy watching it because it’ll be interesting to see how all these people from different places clash.”
Fans online echoed Monroe’s sentiment, with many agreeing that his star power is exactly what the John Cena Classic needs to feel like a premium showcase.
